Special Education Support Services

At Foundation to Flourish, we strive to provide strategic support to foster collaborative relationships with school teams, ensuring that each student's needs in social, emotional, behavioral, and academic areas are met. Efforts are dedicated to facilitating the best school environment for every individual student. It is important to note that we do not provide legal advice; however, we offer cultivating guidance for parents and students to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and confidence when navigating the complex world of special education. You will soon be attending meetings with tenacity and poise.

*Special education consulting is offered for specific North Carolina counties only to avoid conflicts of interest.

Document review and recommendations - current Individualized Education Plans, 504 Plans, psycho-educational testing, related service provider testing (OT/PT/SLP)
IEP Coaching - Document review and recommendations + 2 coaching sessions (in person, virtual, or phone) to ensure parent/guardian ascertains necessary knowledge and understanding to attend special education meetings and address the school team, as needed (adjusting goals, suggesting accommodations, etc). Approximately 2 weeks of support. Coaching sessions needed beyond 2 can be added for additional fee.

IEP Meeting Attendance - Document review and recommendations and Coaching + attendance to meeting (virtual or in-person). This also includes cc’ing on all emails and collaborative responses pertaining to current IEP meeting and a review of entire IEP/504 process. Approximately 6 weeks of support. Additional support available for fee.

Other Special Education Support Services: review of previous IEP/504/testing, assistance with out of state/out of county transfers, transition meeting support, Behavior Intervention Plan support, review and assistance with presenting outside reports from medical providers
